Characteristics and application
XLPE insulated power cable has the advantages of not only high mechanical strength good ambient stress resistance, good electrical properties and anti-chemical corrosion, but also simple construction, light weight and convenient to use. It applies to electrical power transmission and distribution lines with A.C.rated voltage U0/U up to and including 0.6/1KV.

The flame retardant XLPE power cable is hard to get fire or that the continuous burning of cables is very limited when it is on fire. It applies to the places with many cables laid tightly together such as power-generated station, subway, tunnel, high-storey building, large-size factory and mines, oil field and coal mine. Main characteristics of low smoke, halogen-free, flame retardant power cable is very low smoke emission
 and harmless (low toxic, low corrosive) besides the property of flame retardant. It can be used in such kinds of places as subway, tunnel, nuclear power station with special demands of property of flame retardant, the density of smoke emission and toxic index when cable gets burning.

Fire-resistance cable can operate normally for some time when it is burning except that it can transmit electrical power under normal condition. It is used in the places such as nuclear power station, subway, tunnel, high-storey building and other places concerning to fire security and its lifesaving.

Standards of products

The cable is manufactured in accordance with the standards of GB/T12706.1-2002. It can also be produced accordance to special requirements put forward by clients. Besides, the standards mentioned above, the flame retardant property of the flame retardant cable must meet the corresponding demands of class A, B, or C which is stipulated in GB/T19666-2005. Among the 3 classes, class A is best. Clients can select any type of cable as practical needs. Low smoke, halogen-free, flame retardant power cable must meet the corresponding requirements of class A, B or C. It must pass the test of smoke density GB/T17651-1998 and the test measuring the PH value and conductivity which is stipulated in GB/T17650.2-1998.

Fire-resistance property of the fire-resistance cable can meet GB/T19216.21-2003.

1.       The rated voltage U0/U is 0.6/1KV.

2.       Maximum conductor temperature under normal operation is 90℃

3.       Maximum conductor temperature under short circuit(Max duration is not more than 5s) is not more than 250℃.

4.       Minimum installation ambient temperature is not less than 0℃. Installation bending radius are not less than the following specified values:
Single core non-armored cable: 15D
Single core armored cable: 15D
3 cores non-armored cable: 15D
3 cores armored cable: 12D
Note: D means outer diameter of cable.
